Purpose: JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture, and science programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is the second stage of the JEE examination process and can only be attempted by candidates who qualify JEE Main and meet the eligibility criteria.
Conducting Body: One of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) conducts the examination every year under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Eligibility: Candidates must qualify JEE Main and rank among the top eligible candidates as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). They must also satisfy the age, attempt, and Class 12 eligibility criteria specified for that admission year.
Age Limit: Candidates should have been born on or after the date specified in the official notification for the respective examination year. Relaxation in the age limit is provided to reserved category candidates as per government norms.
