Full Form: National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFT Entrance Exam)
Purpose: The NIFT Entrance Examination is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion design, fashion technology, fashion communication, textile design, accessory design, leather design, knitwear design, fashion management, and other related disciplines offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The examination evaluates candidates on creativity, analytical ability, communication skills, design aptitude, and general awareness.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board are eligible to apply for undergraduate programmes. Specific eligibility criteria may vary depending on the course selected.
Age Limit: For Bachelor's programmes, the maximum age is generally 24 years as on the prescribed date. A relaxation of 5 years is provided to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), subject to the latest official notification.
